Wanna Race??

You can!! Bring a car (or a friend with a car) and a helmet (Snell 2000-2005-2010 both M and SA helmets are valid this year.), pay the entry fee (no gettin around that one) and you are off to the races!! Drop in or buy a yearly membership. "What kind of car do I need?" you may ask. Let's look at two perfect examples below. The first is a Ford Cosworth which was once driven by World Rally Champion Colin Mcrae and probably has every trick in the book stuffed under the hood. The other perfect example is a red car.

   

These and anything in between are the best cars to use. Horsepower is not the most important thing at these events. Discovering new driving skills, comradery and good times is what its all about. Oh ya , and we have championship trophies too. ;D Check out our Frequently Asked Questions page. The final word here is that we race CARS. Not trucks, Jeeps, SUVs or anything of that nature. Just cars.

Attention: potential ice racers

The NASCC will host a winter driving school on Jan 20-21. This is the only opportunity to qualify you for your Ice racing licence.

Well, don't keep them to yourself.  If you have your photos on a photo hosting website such as Picassa or Photobucket or any other send us the link and we'll put it on our media page.  If we see a really cool photo, we may even place it on the website somewhere!  (let us know if you don't want that... but seriously, who wouldn't want that?).

Next Event: Rallycross #1 ...ON ICE!!

Hey all, we are back for event one of the 2012 rallycross season.

Rally X #1 will be held at Roys lake on FEB 5 2012. Open to everyone. Cost is $40 for any ASN club member we can sell you a one day membership for $20 or a one year for $65.

NEWS UPDATE: Monday, Jan. 30

We will start off this week looking at the upcoming Rally X season. Sorry for the short notice, as you know, ice is a moving living thing.

We are going to run our regular format of 2 laps on Sunday. For those who don’t know about this event the course is a very wide road carved into a frozen lake. Winter tires are not mandatory but highly recommended There is a good chance of high attendance this weekend so marshal changes need to go smooth. We will have a toilet on the lake but food and other amenities are not readily available so bring a lunch. Sa2000 or newer helmet this year people,  I will not allow any M class helmets, 

In 2012 Other news the trailer has been performing extremely well at the ice races. As such more work is needed the next scheduled work day is Sat Dec 4 at (TBD) possibly the ERC clubhouse but we will confirm this week. More work is required!
