Bring a car (or a friend with a car) and a helmet (Snell 2000-2005-2010 both M and SA helmets are valid this year.), pay the entry fee (no gettin around that one) and you are off to the races!! Drop in or buy a yearly membership. "What kind of car do I need?" you may ask. Let's look at two perfect examples below. The first is a Ford Cosworth which was once driven by World Rally Champion Colin Mcrae and probably has every trick in the book stuffed under the hood. The other perfect example is a red car.
These and anything in between are the best cars to use. Horsepower is not the most important thing at these events. Discovering new driving skills, comradery and good times is what its all about. Next Event: Rallycross #1 ...ON ICE!!Hey all, we are back for event one of the 2012 rallycross season. Rally X #1 will be held at Roys lake on FEB 5 2012. Open to everyone. NEWS UPDATE: Monday, Jan. 30We will start off this week looking at the upcoming Rally X season. Sorry for the short notice, as you know, ice is a moving living thing. We are going to run our regular format of 2 laps on Sunday. For those who don’t know about this event the course is a very wide road carved into a frozen lake. Winter tires are not mandatory but highly recommended There is a good chance of high attendance this weekend so marshal changes need to go smooth. We will have a toilet on the lake but food and other amenities are not readily available so bring a lunch. Sa2000 or newer helmet this year people, I will not allow any M class helmets, In 2012 Other news the trailer has been performing extremely well at the ice races.
